"Natalie is a new storyteller on the Australian literary landscape. We take notice of her considered voice and style, its effect of surprise and seduction. Perhaps most importantly, Natalie’s dedication to engaging critically with her work has led to many healthy editorial discussions that demonstrate her commitment to the craft. An editor, writer and reader are implicitly tangled through this process of publication, reinventing and redefining what they embody. Natalie has certainly found a home with Gargouille."

"Natalie Harman was one of the highest achieving students in the USC Creative Writing program. She received one of the highest grades in the entire program for her creative and critical assignments, including, notably, full marks for a final assessment piece, 'Fold'. Natalie was also remarkable in that she published a number of innovative and outstanding pieces of fiction as an undergraduate student. 'Bower' and 'Fold' were featured in our USC journals Showcase and in.tense. She also published widely outside of the university; 'Dustflakes' in Writing from Below (December 2013), 'Take me swimming' in Ricochet Magazine (May 2014), and 'All Talk and no Trousers' in Social Alternatives (August 2014). Additionally, she has demonstrated passion for developing her own and her peers' creative writing through her ongoing involvement in our Creative Writing community group USC Inklings (Australia)."
